Billiards with a feel from another era

Today we have a game room that has both a modern and a Gothic or Victorian feel to it.  The billiards table has a ball and claw foot leg design with a medium stained oak cabinetry.  Most of the tables with a little flair on the legs omit the ball part, and I think the addition makes it feel like a gargoyle foot holding a beautiful table.  The surrounding furniture makes helps round out the Gothic feel, but the twelve inch tile floor is what brings the modern part into this equation.  Personally, I would bring in some marble or slate floor tile to finish the room, but sometimes you have to deal with what you’ve got!
